We are going to show you all kinds of examples of outfits to inspire some ideas for your senior portraits. You will see photos from our past photoshoots as well as some tips from designers in selecting the best looks for you. We will go through the different categories of outfits in the order they tend to come up in the photoshoot.
Nothing looks sharper than a well-fitted suit. It’s one of the things that has set us apart in our senior portraits and has become our signature look. Some of the guys wear a three-piece suit, but the majority will go with the slacks and suit jacket with a tie.
Less is more in terms of color and patterns. You want your outfit to look good without being the center of attention of the photos. It should look and feel natural. Click on any of the photos below to see a closer look.
As you can see, black, blue, and gray are the most popular colors for men’s suits.
Youtube can be a great resource. We found this video to help in deciding what type of suit would be the best for you.

Our next category of outfits is normally the second outfit for the portraits. It’s an outfit that is more casual than the suit but can still be fashion-forward. This could be a layered look, sports jacket, sweater, jean jackets, or more. Take a look at some examples below from past senior portraits.

Your letterman jacket is a great way to show your school pride as well as highlight some of your high school accomplishments. You can wear this with your jersey or simply with a t-shirt. Remember that if you want to use your jersey for photos, a lot of times you have to sign them out from your coach or athletic director ahead of time. Please plan accordingly

This is probably the least used during our style of senior portraits. However, you can definitely do photos in your full uniform if you would like. Something you might also think about is having us photograph your school’s senior team photo. You can even do this with just some of your closest friends on the team if the entire team doesn’t want to get together. We did this recently for the Prosper Lacrosse team who were State Champions. Four of the team members had grown up together and wanted to create a fun friend poster for that year’s senior program.
Riley did something fun with his senior portraits. We did a two-part photoshoot with the second part of his shoot we did the reverse of our normal portraits. Typically we are taking a suit and mixing it onto the playing field. This time we took the football uniform and mixed it with the off the field environment, this time being downtown Dallas Texas.

A great option for your third or fourth outfit could be a t-shirt or other spirit wear from the college your son will be attending after graduation. Below you will see some examples from a College Celebration day we held for some of our past senior portrait clients who go to Prosper High School. They were all friends and grew up together. It was a lot of fun to get them all together before they head off to college. We took these photographs at the historic history section of Frisco Texas.
