Hello everyone! I hope you are all doing great out there in Dallas Texas and beyond. Today we show you Sean’s Fashion Senior Portraits who is a Mckinney Boyd Senior for 2020. How have you all been doing under these interesting times of staying inside and taking off work?
Sorry, we have been quiet for a while, but we are getting ready to ramp up in an exciting way! Let’s dive in!
We are always having new “first-time” experiences at new locations. In some sense, the location doesn’t matter. We have ways of making creative senior portraits anywhere. The locations tend to have meaning to the student in one way or another.
In this McKinney Boyd Senior pictures, we traveled to two different locations that were close together. We started at the beautiful Shops at Legacy in Plano and then continued at Arbor Hills Nature Preserve which is also in Plano Texas.
What a beautiful area. Shops at Legacy have anything you could want in your luxury shopping experience. So we were faced with an interesting challenge photographing our first senior who was an ice hockey goalie for Mckinney Boyd. We didn’t have access to the ice rink, and to be honest, we had a lot of concerns about falling. Ok, I had the concerns about falling and breaking myself.
So we decided to mix what we do with our Fashion Sports portraits and bring it to the streets of Plano. In some photos, we used his pads, but in the shot above we just used the stick.
Tesla? Yes, please. Sean’s parents knew that there was a Tesla sales center at the Shops at Legacy so we thought that could be a fun backdrop for a few photos with his car. A beautiful black Tesla. You will see farther down in this post that we got another photo with the Tesla emblem of the store in the background.
Elon, can I have a free one for the advertisement, please?
If you are from the McKinney area, then you are well aware of the Arbor Hills Nature Preserve in Plano. I bet you couldn’t name the spot this is at though? Isn’t that the fun of it? I love going to places that are used all the time for senior portraits but finding a new way to showcase it.
This was oddly my first time doing a full photoshoot here. I asked his mom to bring along a wooden chair that would complete our look. She did not disappoint and this is a perfect fit for the style of our photoshoot.
Getting the attention of one dog in a photoshoot can be tricky enough. Two dogs are pressing our luck. But we like a challenge! Sean’s dogs were important to him and we wanted to mix them into the portraits. There were definitely a lot of outtakes. But we finally got a few awesome portraits of both of his dogs facing in the right direction and some fun expressions. They wanted to so badly play and run around.
This was a fun little element to mix into the photoshoot. This was a bomber jacket that belonged to his grandfather. What a great way to honor your relatives in your senior portraits. It also works great with our color selection for these photos.
I am so happy to say that all indications point to us opening up very soon and being able to get back to photographing McKinney Boyd Seniors and others from all over Dallas. I can not wait. We have started taking bookings for May and beyond. The first preference on dates will go to 2020 seniors who get their bookings in right away. We want to make sure we have enough spaces to photograph them before they had to college. But we are also booking 2021 seniors and athletes.
We are also happy to announce the following
Don’t forget to head over and join our new group for Seniors and Parents. Sophomore and Junior parents are also welcome and encouraged to join! It won’t be long before we are booking your seniors as well. Please bare with us as we grow our members and continue to work on bringing you more content!
